I think there is an O-ring inside the hose connector and it takes a set and sticks to the valve connection point after time.įorget the little "bluey" plastic electric connector thing. It has a release, but the connector seems to stick on tightly so you have to twist and turn it some gently while pulling and it will eventually release. That little blue part just locks the tab so you can not press it to release it. That thing is not needed, because you also have to depress a tab on that connector. I tried a small jewelers screw driver to slide it off and it broke on half. So - the 1.4L solenod valve is slightly different than the one on the 1.8L engine. Note:- people never say WHICH engine they have or put it into their signature. There is a very small blue slide lock on the Purge Solenoid Valve electric connector I just replaced one 4 months ago.
